Something doesn’t feel right? Call us.

For a broken bracket, uncomfortable wire, or lost aligner, start with guidance from the team who knows your treatment.

We’re here to help you find the next step.

Call 512-402-1501 if something about your braces, aligners, or retainers concerns you. Tell us what happened, how the appliance feels, and whether you are in discomfort.

For a significant injury to your teeth or mouth, contact your general dentist promptly. Seek emergency care for severe injuries or difficulty breathing or swallowing.

Brackets, wires, and elastics.

If a bracket loosens or breaks, save any loose piece and call us. Orthodontic wax may help cover an irritating area while you arrange advice. Avoid cutting or adjusting an appliance without guidance from your treating team.

If an elastic comes off or breaks, contact us to find out what to do and whether an appointment is needed.

Lost or damaged trays.

Call us about a lost or broken aligner. Do not move ahead to a different tray without instructions, because it may not match your planned stage of treatment.

For a lost, damaged, or poorly fitting retainer, contact the office about assessment or replacement. Bring the appliance with you when possible.

Tenderness, sores, or gum concerns.

Some tenderness can occur when treatment begins or after an adjustment. Careful cleaning and the comfort measures recommended by your team may help.

Call if discomfort is persistent, unusually severe, or worsening, or if you notice swollen or bleeding gums. If you are unsure whether a problem needs attention, please ask.
