LAKE TRAVIS ORTHODONTICS
A thoughtful start for growing smiles.
Conservative, functional orthodontic care starts with understanding your child’s tooth alignment, jaw development, and airway concerns.

The first step is understanding.
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first orthodontic checkup by age seven. At this stage, an orthodontist can assess the mix of baby and permanent teeth and how the bite is developing.
Dr. Tostado values early evaluation and thoughtful monitoring. His conservative approach may mean no treatment, observation as your child grows, or treatment when a concern would benefit from attention. Non-extraction options are considered when clinically appropriate for your child’s development.
What we look at.
Your child’s visit includes an assessment of tooth alignment, spacing, airway evaluation, and jaw development. We will ask about your concerns and explain the findings in clear, age-appropriate language.
Breathing or sleep concerns may call for further medical evaluation. Dr. Tostado considers your child’s individual development when recommending monitoring, treatment, or coordinated care.
An easy first visit for the whole family.
Bring your child’s dental and medical history and any insurance information. There will be time to ask questions about treatment choices, the appointment routine, and what may happen next.
